A real juicy little number. A moderately-high hop aroma of floral, tropical fruit and citrus-orange is found, while a low toasty, and honey-like malt presence is noticeable but not strong. Also, the name of this beer rhymes.

473 ml can as part of Refined Fool's 6 pack of IPA's. Served cold into a pint glass. Cost comes out to about $3.35 CDN per can.
Appearance - An aggressive pour yields a very hazy dark golden brew with many fingers of opulent white head. Great staying power and lots of lacing clings to the edges of the glass.
Smell - Very perfumey in general with light tropical citrus notes of mango, peach and pineapple with maybe a touch of grapefruit thrown in.
Taste - Initially sweet and like rose petals, melding into peach flavors and then followed up with a more bitter and tradition IPA flavor of lemon zest and grapefruit.
Mouthfeel - Medium-heavy bodied, a little more sticky and syrupy with lesser carbonation by a slight amount compared to many of the other local IPA's.
Overall - Solid IPA that is pretty tasty and a bit unique for featuring perfumey flavors and aromas and peaches so prominently. Good beer and definitely enjoyed in the context of the mixed pack.

Tallboy from the LCBO, one of six pale ales included in their IPA Fun Box. Coded 20260L (Sept 16 2020 at their London Rd. location?) and served slightly chilled.
Pours turbid and hazy, its golden orange-coloured body capped off with one finger of soapy, foamy white head that holds together for a couple of minutes. By that point, it has been reduced to a bubbly, filmy cap and modest collar of froth; several arcing strands of delicate lace have also been left in its wake. A fine looking pale ale, and the aroma ain't too shabby, either - I'm getting orange juice, pink grapefruit, mango and peach, accompanied by minor notes of pineapple, lime and bubble gum.
Quite juicy and flavourful, with very low bitterness - there's orange, peach and mango, along with hints of grapefruit, wheaty malts and oatmeal sweetness. Hints of grapefruit pith, passion fruit and cantaloupe towards the finish, concluding with a juicy aftertaste of citrus and stone fruit. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation that provides a brisk prickliness to this brew's soft, fluffy mouthfeel. I found this more drinkable than most 'hazy IPAs' - this one was less acidic than most, with no sign of the 6.5% at all.
Final Grade: 4.02, an A-. Rip Zip Skip is a quality New England style IPA, and absolutely one of the Fools' most solid pale ale recipes to date. Don't get me wrong, their Short Pier DIPA and Murder of Crows Black IPA - both included in this mixed pack - are classics in their own right, but it's juicy haze bombs such as this one that are all the rage these days. Getting any NEIPA out onto the shelves would've been a good move, but this one has the added bonus of being better than average. Recommended highly - just sell this as a single, and it'd likely wind up being my most common Refined Fool purchase.
