Look: Golden orange colour with a hint of pale green barely discernible. Small 3/4 finger white head, that disappears quickly leaving a ring around top of glass.
Smell: Faint black coffee.
Taste: The dominant taste throughout are wet coffee grounds. With a pils like back end. Far more subtle and light then the dark coffee stouts or porters that are traditional coffee beers.
Feel: Light bodied and low carbonation, with a shiny effervesce.
An interesting diversion from the typical dark coffee stout, but nothing special. This coffee flavour from this beer is far more subtle and gentle then what fans of dark coffee beers are used to....if you find a coffee stout to rich for you, you might want to give this a try. Not something I would be interested in having again though. I give this a solid B-.

473 ml can served cold into a goblet. LCBO purchase for about $3.30 CDN.
Appearance - Rich dark golden color with copper highlights. A small half finger of head is poured and dissipates fairly quick leaving some soapy residue and a small curtain of lacing. Brilliantly clear although appearing devoid of carbonation.
Smell - plenty of coffee featuring wet coffee grounds, possibly some dark chocolate. Good aromatics that are balanced and appetizing.
Taste - Again some coffee, hints of milk chocolate and a general graininess that backs everything up. Middling bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Closer to the heavier side of medium bodied, carbonation is very light and a touch more sticky than some. Dry finish.
Overall - A good and tasty blonde coffee ale that nicely melds coffee and chocolate with an easy drinking blonde ale. Not a world beater but this Can of Beans tastes much better than a conventional one.

Pours a bright golden-orange colour, topped with one finger of foamy white head that melts away within two or three minutes' time. A bubbly collar is left encircling a patchy islet of film, with a modest amount of stringy lace tossed about in its wake - looks ok, and if you're a java fiend then you'll probably love the aroma. It's got lots of coffee beans, with bready, grainy malts and a touch of creamy sweetness - smells like this is going to keep me up all night.
A straightforward tipple - a little sweet at the forefront, with lactose sugar and bready, grainy pale malts coming through at first, as well as a hint of green pepper. Bitter coffee grounds dominate nearer the finish, lingering into a bittersweet aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderately assertive carbonation that gives a crisp, prickly feel to this smooth-textured blonde ale. Moderate drinkability.

Another tall can, dated Dec 4 2023 and re-labelled as "40210 Coffee Blonde". I was going to add this as a new beer, but noticed that the marketing blurbs for this and Can of Beans are nearly word-for-word copies. For what it's worth, Untappd seems to consider them to be the same product, too. Most of my previous review still applies, except for maybe the 'green pepper' note - the coffee flavours here are smoother and more deftly-integrated, so there is less of a vegetal quality. As concluded previously, it's better than some coffee blondes, but not a must-try.
Final Grade: 3.74, a B
