A very special sour inspired by a very special Mexican street drink called Tepache. Brewed with fresh pineapple, nutmeg, and allspice.

Bomber purchased at the brewery; no packaging date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy golden-orange colour, generating half a finger of tight, creamy white foam that melts away entirely within sixty seconds; a thin collar remains, but that's all. Looks like a kettle sour, I guess. The nutmeg and allspice come through on the nose, but the rest is rather muted - I'm getting grainy pale malts, muddled pineapple and mushy stone fruit.
It's not bad at all - the pineapple plays a central role, with much subtler notes of melon, banana and mango providing some sweetness to help counter the tartness of the lactic acidity. Nutmeg and allspice come through at the finish, with pineapple, lemon, banana and honeydew melon lingering into a spicy, mildly tart aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderately low carbonation that brushes weakly against the palate; feels smooth, but also a little flabby for something that's only 5%. Good drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.65 a B grade. Dos Tammys is a fine spiced pineapple sour - I was a bit worried about the spices, but they're used sparingly and serve as a nice complement alongside the pineapple and lactic acidity. I enjoyed my bottle, and I'd say it's worth bringing back once in a while as a seasonal.
