Anonymously sour. Pours like a soda with a thin actively bubbly head that is short lived. Very slightly hazed gold. Sour fruit on the nose, really sour on the palate. A one note performance.

473 mL can from the brewery; coded 21131L and served slightly chilled.
Pours a relatively clear golden-yellow colour, generating one finger of foamy, soapy white head that collapses in about ninety seconds. It leaves behind a modest quantity of lace and a thin collar, but not a whole lot else - looks fine to me. Fairly subtle on the nose - grainy malts, wheat and lemon, with hints of melon, nectarine and white grape, as well as a mild lactic funkiness.
A serviceable sour IPA - I'm tasting gritty wheat and lemon at first, followed by flavours of stone fruit, melon, grape and apples. Suggestions of floral hop bitterness at the finish, with lemon yogurt, peaches and light lactic acidity continuing on into the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with low carbonation that weakly nudges the surface of the palate, resulting in a soft, smooth, somewhat slick mouthfeel. Fair drinkability for what it is, but one glass was plenty for me.
Final Grade: 3.4, a B-. Leather & Lasers wasn't bad, but it was pretty underwhelming. Despite not being big on soured IPAs, I can still sometimes enjoy and appreciate them when they're done well. Unfortunately, this is a borderline mediocre one that didn't impress me in any meaningful sense: its stone/tropical fruity flavours are alright, but there's not a lot else going on IMO, besides the lactic acidity (which doesn't do much for me either). Needless to say, it's not something I expect to be drinking again any time soon, and I'd have a hard time recommending it to anyone who isn't a serious sour IPA lover.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Canning of 21147L, maybe this is an end of May beer then?
Appearance - Mildly hazy coppery gold color with a finger plus of dense fluffy white head. Good staying power and impressive streaks of lacing lay in this beers wake. Some chunk sediment floats to the bottom.
Smell - Some leafy and weedy hops, hints of woody sourness and in the background something akin to a cleaning product. Not a terribly robust nose either.
Taste - Quite assertively sour, finishes medium bitter and with out the finish this is a lemon fruited sour. As with many of the sour IPA's, getting the balance just right is tricky and Leathers and Lasers doesn't have it.
Mouthfeel - medium body, carbonation is a bit flat , finish is a bit non-descript and there's acidity in the throats as well. Slightly dry to conclude.
Overall - This is example number one as to why are Sour IPA's a thing? The beer isn't bad and is drinkable, but doesn't quite hit the right sour notes and certainly not the IPA notes. Points for creativity and some nifty art on the can, but otherwise forgettable beer in a forgettable six pack with one wonderful exception.
