473 mL can from the brewery; packaged Sep 3 2021 and served slightly chilled. One of the sparsest labels I've seen in a long time - at least, in terms of providing any sort of information - but it does have a handsome cat pictured front and center, which is always a plus.

Pours hazy apricot yellow, with one finger of smooth, foamy white head situated atop; it collapses within two minutes or so, leaving behind a frothy collar and a narrow band of lacing. Looks like a typical hazy pale ale, but its nose is on the muted side: I'm getting suggestions of grassy hops and lemon pith, with hints of grainy malt and maybe a touch of stone fruit.

This is a pretty good session IPA - citrusy and a little fruity, backed by a clean, grainy pale malt sweetness that lasts throughout the sip. Hints of lemon and stone fruit, with more of a grassy, floral, mildly bitter note developing towards the finish; more floral hops and light lemon pithiness in the aftertaste, which trends off-dry. Light in body, with fairly assertive carbonation that feels spritzy on the tongue, contributing to this brew's refreshing, crisp mouthfeel. Tossing this one back quickly is no problem at all.

Final Grade: 3.6, a B grade. Since the label told me almost nothing about the beer, I went to their website instead, which mentions that Gorgeous Giant Gets His Way is a SMaSH ale (single malt and single hop), without disclosing exactly which malt or hop was used. All told, it's an average session ale - nothing to write home about, but as far as light IPAs go, I have no real problem with it. That is, other than the usual problem, which is that I'd rather be drinking a full strength IPA. Recommended for fans of hoppy session ales.
