Bomber purchased at the brewery; no packaging date and served barely chilled. A 'cold IPA', which is a thing now.

Pours clear and effervescent, its body a pale blonde colour; seated atop is more than a finger of smooth, foamy white head. It lasts for a few minutes before collapsing on itself, reduced to a thin cap and frothy collar - looks alright to me. It smells of orange pekoe tea, pineapple, peach drink and just a little minty. Very unique, and highly appealing.

The aroma was a good indicator of the flavour profile - I'm getting peach and apricot immediately, with hints of pineapple, orange and melon not long after. Suggestions of cedar and resiny bitterness towards the finish and into the aftertaste, with a lightly syrupy tropical fruit cup note lingering alongside. Medium-full in body, with assertive carbonation that prickles the palate continuously; feels pillowy-smooth on the tongue, frothing up a bit in the mouth. Unbelievably easy to drink, with almost no sign of the 7% whatsoever.

Final Grade: 4.05, an A-. Sometimes, a random beer will just hit all of the right notes, precisely when you're craving them. So it goes with We Call Him Trevor, an unassumingly delightful beer that I had neither high nor low expectations for. The peach and pineapple hop flavours pop nicely, but it also has this faintly minty/cedar-y twang that just ties everything together so well. Trevor sold out faster than most of their Tiny Batch beers, and it's not hard to see why - it's definitely in the running for my favourite non-imperial Refined Fool IPA to date. Well worth bringing back, and a good candidate for an LCBO release, at least if the process can be scaled up to that level effectively.
