Bomber from the brewery; no bottling date. Served slightly chilled.

Pours a hazy pale golden-yellow colour, topped with half a finger of loose, bubbly white head that falls apart within a couple of minutes; it leaves behind a soapy collar of suds as well as a fair bit of delicate, stringy lacing. Mildly fruity on the nose - indeterminate berries and lemon-lime citrus, maybe a hint of stone fruit.

Much like an actual angry fax, it's not exactly attention grabbing... but it tastes alright. Mostly fruity hops, with very low bitterness - hints of pineapple, apricot and grapefruit, with a touch of strawberry and mandarin orange at the finish; lingering cantaloupe in the aftertaste. Thin-bodied, with low carbonation levels that limply nudge the surface of the palate; feels smooth and watery. I've heard it said (and tend to agree) that session IPAs drink like hop tea, but this brew's fairly flat mouthfeel takes that criticism to the next level.

Final Grade: 3.51, squeezing out a B grade. Rage Faxing is a serviceable session IPA with a couple of potential areas for improvement: my main complaint is the mouthfeel, but the aromatics and visuals are also plain at best. Fortunately, I enjoyed its hop flavours, and it's easy to pour down the hatch (as a light IPA should be), so it still deserves a halfway decent rating considering what it is. Released at the same time as another hazy session IPA (Like Dad, Only Better) - if you don't want to pay for both bombers, I'd say Dad is the better of these two.
