Seduction Cove is a dangerously crushable 4.5% Mexican Style Cerveza. Ultra clean and super crisp, this bad boy also features a touch of sweetness thanks to the flaked corn additions. Tastes extra good paired with a slice of lime while wearing a pair of novelty Big Mouth Billy Bass flip flops. Please don’t try it while wearing Birkenstocks.

Bomber from the brewery; no date. Served slightly chilled.

Pours a bright, sunny golden-yellow colour, stirring up one finger of soapy, bubbly white head that lingers for a surprisingly long time - nearly five minutes in fact, with a sudsy collar and cap sticking around afterwards. Lots of attractive, webby lacing too, just a visually beautiful lager. The aroma is nothing noteworthy, comprised of grainy, gritty pale malts and hints of corny cereal... I'm going with Corn Pops.

This is a decent Mexican-style lager, but it's a little on the sweet side - I'm tasting grainy cereal, corn syrup, maybe a hint of apple acidity, and that's about it. Finishes with more corn, followed by a corny, mildly grassy aftertaste. Medium in body, with low carbonation and a slick, smooth mouthfeel that I didn't find very refreshing. Drinkable, but at 4.5% that's hardly an accomplishment.

Final Grade: 3.25, a C+. Seduction Cove drinks like a very light malt liquor, i.e. none of the boozy grossness, but all of the one-dimensional sweetness. The relatively limp mouthfeel does little to help matters, but at the end of the day, I still managed to polish off the bomber easily enough. Objectively not worth the price in this format, but three dollar tallboys might sell next summer if they can refine the recipe.
