This IPA has a bunch of trip inducing characteristics swirling around in it, including a unique yeast known as Thiol Libre which helps to unleash previously inaccessible tropical aromas. In addition, the incredibly rare Phantasm powder, made from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grape skins, releases a ton of thiols (aka a huge boost of grapes, guava, and passion fruit). 25 IBU

Tallboy from the brewery; no canning date and served barely chilled.
Pours a foggy, brassy golden hue, giving rise to two fingers of soapy, foamy white head that steadily recedes within five minutes or so. A generous collar of froth lives on, surrounding a patchy cap and framed by a thick ring of lace - looks fine so far. The aroma is muted and somewhat flat - clean, grainy wheat and doughy sweetness, with hints of orange peel, white grape and indeterminate tropical fruitiness. While it's appealing in its own nuanced way, I would not describe this as 'aromatic'.
Fruit-forward on the front end, with grape, mango, guava and Anjou pear giving way to grapefruit and overripe peach by mid-sip. Floral, earthy bitterness begins to overtake the fruitiness nearer the finish, with a lingering oversteeped tea bitterness carried into the aftertaste; suggestions of hibiscus and grape must, too. Medium in body, with average carbonation that gives this brew a nice, crisp bite that works well with its smooth, slick mouthfeel.
Final Grade: 3.72, a B grade. Dude is billed as a Thiolized IPA w/Phantasm, which means you should expect grape and tropical fruit flavours first and foremost. It does deliver on that implied expectation, eventually... I actually found this kind of dull for the first few sips, but after probing a little deeper it turned out to have some depth and nuance. An interesting experiment that'd be worth the effort to improve, e.g. maybe double down on the grape by adding some Nelson Sauvin?
