SMaSH Ale with Nectaron
This pale, creamy, slightly hazy crusher is as easy drinking as they come. Nectaron hops provide a welcoming face punch of passion fruit, peach, grapefruit, and pineapple with almost zero bitterness—this is a tough one to put down. Dust off that Eastern European style Adidas tracksuit, hop on the Howie Watson, and speed walk over here. A tip from speed-walking legend Tom Bosworth: "Just walk slightly faster than you normally do." 20 IBU

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From their IPA Fun Box 9 at my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned September 20/24. My 12th beer from the Sarnia, Ontario brewery, and 2nd for 2026. With Sundae the cat's struck permission and approval...

Great “lite” (5%) hazy IPA entry entry from Refind fool, not sure if I’d look for it but not bad at all, just so many options out there.

Everything about Tracksuit has a light touch. Pale color, thin white head, and light bodied. Taste is also gentle--somewhat juicy, somewhat bitter, but both in scaled back doses. Mostly pineapple, grapefruit and stone fruit flavors creep through, again in a light, refreshing way. I would define this as a crushable session beer.

Tallboy from the brewery; no canning date and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear golden-yellow colour with very fine, silty sediment hovering throughout its body. It's capped off with more than an inch of soapy, frothy white head that seeps away within three or four minutes' time, leaving behind a quarter-inch band of even lacing, as well as a filmy cap and collar. It smells of passion fruit and peach drink, with hints of clean, grainy malts and citrus pith.
The flavours are along the same lines: passion fruit initially, with peach & plum coming through by mid-sip. Hints of canned pineapple and peaches on the back end, with faint grapefruit pithiness, grains, honeydew melon and stone fruit fading into the aftertaste. Minimal bitterness - it's mostly just fruity. Light in body, with moderately low carbonation that rolls softly across the tongue, contributing to its smooth, soft mouthfeel. Highly crushable.
Final Grade: 3.63, a B grade. Tracksuit is a decent, fruity SMASH ale that shows off what Nectaron hops have to offer. Stone fruit, tropical fruit and citrus are all present, but none of them are especially prominent - these flavours are nice enough, but they simply don't 'pop' the way I'd hoped they would. In short, this is a good pale ale, but it's not a great one - worth a look if you're in town, but not something to go out of your way for.
