473 mL can from the brewery; dated Jul 3 2025 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a foggy golden-yellow colour, mustering nearly three fingers of puffy, soapy white head that lasts for the better part of ten minutes. By that point, it has been worn down to a lumpy, quarter-inch cap and collar, with multiple rings of gorgeous lace deposited in its wake. Interesting aroma that seems all over the place, but works well nonetheless. Floral & perfume-y, with an herbal mint-like quality as well as honeydew melon; lesser notes of orchard fruits, banana candy and spicy, resiny hops are also noticeable.

The flavours are comparatively less inspired, but this is still a pretty solid DIPA. I'm getting honeydew melon, white peach and pineapple, backed by bready, wheaty malts and grainy sweetness. Banana, strawberry and floral, spicy hops develop on the back end, with hints of citrus peel, banana and resiny bitterness lingering into a mildly warming aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with aggressive carbonation that contributes to this brew's prickly, frothy texture; a little over-carbonated IMO, but not to the extent where I'd consider it a serious issue. Fair drinkability.

Final Grade: 3.85, a B+. My Favourite Leg is not my favourite Refined Fool DIPA, though it might be in the top three - top five, at worst. If this brew's intense, enticing aromas had translated into the flavour profile, this would be an undeniable banger - however, they don't, and it isn't. In spite of that, I still like this brew quite a bit, and would encourage other BAs to try it, if they're able to find it fresh.
