We started with a light lager grain bill but then fermented it with a blend of Saison yeast and brettanomyces. The result is a super light, dry, slightly tart 4.5% Saison. Lawn mower beer, for beer geeks. We even printed some shirts to go with it.

750ml bottle at the brewery.
Hazed out beige straw hue, head does well and drops down to a think layer of lacing. Beautiful Brett character throughout, smells of lemongrass, eucalyptus, green peppercorn, and lime pith. Soft and funky, a quick kiss of lemon zest in the middle. Dry and very drinkable. If you can get past the hazy rustic character this is for you, quite enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured (gushed?) a cloudy light yellow color ale with large foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light tart notes with some herbal notes is intriguing. Taste is a mix of light rat notes, light wheat malt with dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting but still work to be done to improve this beer.

A great saison. The Brett pairs well with the lemon from the yeast. Truly an inspired and interesting beer
