Nice lacing with an inch of head. Look and smell is typical of this style. Strong chocolate flavors.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin off white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wisps.
S - Big aromas of fudge and dark fruits, almost Russian imperial like, however, there's nice dark malts and almost baking spices.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice chalky dark chocolate, little bit of char and generic dark fruits. Little bit of spicy hops.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden nicely.
O - Overall this was a solid enough stout, rather lackluster though. Not a whole lot going on here and the results are a bit muddled.

Draft at the brewery
Big foamy mocha coloured head with great retention and lacing, dark basically pitch black
Nose roasty dark malts, little marshmallow nougat and spice, touch of coffee and cream, chocolate fudgey notes, fair caramel, light earthy spicy hop
Taste rich fudgey cocoa, caramel, little vanilla and spice, dark chocolate, some roasted malt and a little coffee and cream, light spicy hops with medium bitterness and a bit from the roasty malt, turning to a med high spicy bitterness lingering, a little acrid roast bitterness slight harsh, some warming hot tasting alcohol
Mouth is med to fuller bod, medium carb, light warming alcohol
Overall not bad, gets a little acrid roast late, alcohol was a bit, nothing too crazy about it either

12 oz. in a snifter at Gather in Yarmouth.
Appearance: Black with a leathery, finger-width brown head. Forboding. Are you ready for this?
Aroma: Booze, black chocolate, black coffee. Some kind of medicinal kind of note, though not in a bad way - kind of just an inclination of the heavy alcohol.
Taste: Delicious, velvety stout. Black coffee with bitter chocolate. Faint herbal bite. Dark fruits.
Mouthfeel: This is a slow one. So much booze and stout bitterness. Drink this swiftly only if you need a nap.
Overall: A powerhouse stout. Get it.
