Anitoch is a blend of ales lying somewhere in between the Flemish Red & Oud Bruin styles. Histoically it would have been referred to as a "provision beer", meaning it was stored and aged to allow flavor to develop.

Antioch (Tokaji Double Barrel Sinularis) is a blend of our Flemish style red ales matured from 6 months to 3 years in red wine barrels and then double matured for 3 months in a special Tokaji white wine barrel from the Royal Tokaji Winery in Hungary.

I’ve had this beer twice and each time I was neither sober nor unaccompanied and haven’t had the chance to review. An amazing piece of work, it’s aggressively sour but balanced enough by the cherry and oak tones of its quasi- Flanders red base. Sweetness comes up and tempers the acidity, medium, almost high carbonation scrubs the tongue and allows for a clean but puckering finish. Wood and tannins swirl around and dry things out a bit. Loved it.
