NO can date
Pours a frothy bubbly 1/2 finger tan head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, very hazy cloudy deep reddish-orange color

Nose sweet malt, fair malty aromas, a fair amount of caramel candy like, touch biscuity, grainy, mild fruity esters, touch of herbal hop, faint oak

Taste a splash of oak up front, quickly into sweet malts, fair sweetness with a bit more caramel and candy like malts, also cracker doughy cereal, soft lager, touch of fruity esters again, mild herbal hops with mild bitterness, finishes a bit drier with med-light bitterness, lingering herbal touch spicy hops

Mouth is med bod, med to higher frothy and slightly prickly carb, soft lager

Overall a decent beer, not really what I expected for a Kellerbier as it has a bit too much sweetness and flavors in that area but it can fall into the reddish kellerbier I guess, too hazy even for a Kellerbier, but otherwise good lager character, a bit on the young side as it should be

No canning date (released on 5/20/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 7/4/21

Pours a foggy, dirty brown/burnt orange hue capped with over two fingers of dense, creamy, off-white foam; good head retention yields a quarter-finger sliver of lush cap, a large, frothy collar, and an array of dense, webby lacing encircling the walls of the glass.

Aroma offers hints of banana peel and melon rind upfront before subtle peppercorn meets hard Italian bread crusts over the middle of the bouquet; vague honey brings a mild sweetness to tones of slowly developing bread dough as crisp rice cracker completes the back end.

Taste brings touches of grass and bready malts building into a banana peel estery quality upfront, in turn leaning towards underdeveloped bread dough and honeycomb as deepening orange zest phases into notes of wet bread and returning sensations of banana esters to close.

Mouthfeel features a light body elevated by a high, fluffy carbonation spritzing out to a delicate, flaky crispness over the mid-palate and leaving a semi-wet texture on the back end; a tingle forms a distant bitterness to maintain consistency through the increasingly dry finish.

Odd yeasty qualities persist alongside maintained dosing of zesty citrus, blotting out aspects of the malt profile and preventing a fuller character and inconsistent structure from evolving; passable, but an undoubtedly sloppier showing from a normally reliable lager brewer.

This one pours a muddy orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like tea, floral hops, sweet breadiness, and oak.

This is definitely a cool take on a kellerbier. It's pretty malt driven, with a sweet bready malt character, some honey, and an almost wheat cracker sort of thing. There's a bit of oak, and a hop character akin to tea and flowers.

This is light bodied, crisp, and very clean, with a great drinkability to it.

Basically all of OEC's oak lagers have been excellent. This is no exception.
