Galaxia is our southern hemisphere hoppy lager brewed using a traditional double decoction mash and hopped with Australian Galaxy & New Zealand hops. After the boil it rests in our copper coolship for 1 hour and is then transferred over our baudelot cooler. Galaxia undergoes a cool fermentation using a German lager yeast. It is cellared for several months & finally dry hopped prior to release.

Bright yellow murky body with a finger of white foam and solid lacing. Tropical notes, especially pineapple, kiwi, big mango, with lemon and floral hops in the nose. Fruit notes are potent but pleasantly light, lager yeast, cracker and white grape in the taste. Body is smooth and medium upfront yet bittering in a pleasant way on the end. Good for late summer

Back with yet another coolship Lager from the kings of weird, OEC. I’m glad to be finding more of their stuff on shelves lately, but I think I’m overdue for another trip there. Let’s see what this one is all about
Pours a cloudy pale gold with a fonger of white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
This is quite weedy in the nose, a bit weird for something this light. I’m picking up on aromas of dank weed, grassy hops, crackery malt, lime zest, raw grain, and white wine
It’s less dank in taste, more balanced but equally as good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, peppery hops, crackery malt, tangerine, and light weed. The swallow brings notes of hernal hops, weed, bready malt, tangerine, and lime zest
A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry but could use more of a backbone
This one is out there, but I enjoyed it. It’s not the best or most creative beer I’ve had from them, but solid

Pours cloudy golden color with a nice, tight inch of head. Head falls to a pretty uniform layer and streaks the glass some. Kinda wheat beer looking, actually.
The smell is lemon/limey, grassy/floral, a little white wine grape, a bit of crackery malt eventually emerges, some yeast and maybe a slight touch of funk...I'm thinking thank you coolship swim for that little bit. Melon peeks out just a tad.
This is a nice tasting beer. It is quite subtle overall. Lemon lime scores the first points. Cracker malt with a little sweetness. Floral, melon, and white wine aromatics. Pretty clear yeast taste, light bitterness, and a perfect amount of funkiness. It is more rustic than refined, yet it shows sophistication in how it was constructed.
Light body, fairly lively, but soft is the first word I thought of here. Bitterness is mild, just enough to notice. The lemon/lime lingers pleasantly.
Diggin' this one. Smooth, goes down easily. I really like the restraint shown. This is sensibly hopped and has just the right level of yeastiness and funk. It reminds me of Allagash Moselle in a way, but with a little extra going on

This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This one smells like lemon, lime, grassy hops, some floral notes, and crackers.
This has a nice hop character, but it's not completely overdone or anything. It's got a really well done malt character - crackery, with very little sweetness. There's a floral and grassy bitterness here, with some light dry tones of lemon and lime on top that feel like just a light dusting of Galaxy hops.
This is light bodied, clean, and very crisp, with a very nice drinkability.
OEC hasn't always done IPA type things to my liking, but this is in particular is pretty well done.

another off the chain lager from these guys done in the coolship, however briefly, special lager program they have going, and i am so thankful to be seeing so many of them roll through idaho! this one is light orange tinted, incredibly frothy headed, white and thick and rising, and with just a little haze. it smells modern, more than the others, with a southern hemisphere hop profile of pale under ripe melon, white wine grape, and young peach, light lime leaf too, all real fresh. the lager yeast is still obvious in the taste which i like, rustic and bready and not cleaned up to an annoying degree, which i prefer. light bitterness from the hops, slight funk like they all have as it warms, and just a bit of residual sweetness this time around, really coming out as it sits, but enhancing and extending this fruity hop profile. not much citrus, more melon and stone fruit, slightly floral too, honeysuckle and jasmine, nice balance and not without some bitterness. nice texture, soft and full and almost creamy with a lot of life. well made beer, but a little bit similar to a couple of the others now that i have had a fair few of them, not a complaint, i love them all. so glad to have these here!

They call this a "Tropical Lager" but it tastes like a Blonde ale with a nice dose of hops. Seems malty and rather sweet, but with a pleasant hoppy edge. Aroma is peach with a touch of citrus, and there's a funky note. Some apricot flavors, grapes, and dark toast.
This is thoroughly quaffable and I suppose interesting for not being clearly in a defined category. It's beery with modest hop entertainment. From the 16 oz can purchased at Biine Y Vine on the southwest coast. No date.

A very easy to drink beer, but this is a waste of the talent of OEC.
Beautifully clear golden beers that carry a decent tropical flavor over top of a well built grain body. As well put together as any OEC brew, but not something I need to revisit. And it isn't replacing any galaxy ipa

No can date
Pours a med frothy foamy 1 finger head with med retention, hazy golden straw color, a hazy lager?!
Nose brings big tropical hops, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, citrus, very light grainy malt
Taste brings light malt, cereal grain malt, light soft lager, lots of dry hops again but not overpowering, tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, citrus, but a bit of dried candied tropical fruit, touch of fruity esters like the lager was a bit on the warm side, drier but sticky finish
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, lighter carb, a bit of soft lager
Overall eh, it's OK, not much lager base, not much malt, hops thankfully weren't overpowering but definitely dominating to the point where there's very little lager coming through, not a big fan of this one
