A daring trans-Atlantic infusion of UK Challenger and US Mt Hood hops combines near reckless flavour abandon of candy and wood with floral and spicy undertones. Enticing aromas of grapefruit and orange sherbet will leave you asking for more.

On Tap @ Bent Elbow - taps a clouded honey-gold with a rocky white cap. Aroma is grainy-sweet some fruit, citrus peel, earthy yeast funk. Medium bodied, slick mouth feel. Tste has sweet malting in front balanced by some herbal hopping, mid drink you get some succulent fruit in the mix, long wet finish...sweet without malt breadiness. Decent, could use more condition before release just a tad sweet for me.

473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Purchased from the LCBO for $3.25 CDN or so. Listed at 5.0% ABV.
Appearance - Thin pale yellowy beer, good clarity, not much carbonation and a small half finger of quickly dissipating head.
Smell - Light, somewhat fruity with hints of apple and pear, some grain and a slightly nutty aroma.
Taste - Pretty light, subtle apple and pear fruitiness with some grain. Hints of peach and plum mixed in as well.
Mouthfeel - Light body, moderate carbonation and easy drinking.
Overall - Drinks more like a good blonde ale rather than and English pale ale although the fruity elements give some credence to that demarcation.

500 mL bottle from the brewery; bottled Apr 27 2015 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy golden-yellow colour, producing nearly two fingers of soapy, frothy white head. It steadily wilts away over the next five minutes or so, depositing a modest swath of lace as it recedes down to a foamy collar and bubbly film. Pleasing aroma; on the nose I can pick out some citrusy orange peel, a few floral, leafy hop notes, and some very subtle hints of grainy pale malts and honey sweetness.
An excellent English-style pale ale. Clean, pale malt sweetness and some light Werther's toffee sweetness kick things off, with orange zest and pithy grapefruit citrus notes following in tow. Mild hints of orchard fruit and pineapple then give way to floral hop bitterness, with the profile finishing on a lovely spicy note. Light-medium in body, with moderate carbonation levels that provide a good, solid, crisp bite. The mouthfeel is a bit prickly, but this one still goes down the hatch virtually effortlessly.
Final Grade: 4.09, an excellent A-. I've now tried all three of Innocente's flagship beers, and while each one certainly has its fair share of strong points, I'd have to say that Fling is my favourite of all. It's fruity and refreshing, with a restrained hop kick that does not run roughshod over the rest of the flavour profile. Not quite sessionable, but I do wish I had another bottle to drink after this one's gone. Perfectly suited for the upcoming summer months, and well worth a try if you're stopping by the brewery.

Not my favourite hops, but a solid brew... sort of a strong British blonde.

My uncle picked up the three available brews from these guys while I was home last summer. Thanks Todd!
From a 50cl bottle into a snifter
Bottled on 15 July 2014
US Mt. Hood and UK Challenger hops
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, fluffy white head with great retention. Clear golden yellow in color with lower carbonation evident. Crystal clear as well. Head fades to a nice wisp and sticks to the sides of the glass. A half wisp remains until the end leaving some nice lacing all the way.
SMELL: Bold aromas of caramel, melon, lots of grapefruit and some orange notes in there. Quite nice.
TASTE: Some caramel malt and melon up front, then some nice grapefruit, orange notes and hop bitterness at the swallow. Flavors of orange sorbet at the swallow. Aftertaste of grapefruit, sweet melon and some bitter floral hops lingers on the palate. Nice, flavorful and interesting without being overly bitter. Quality.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry on the palate. Bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Interesting brew, and very well put together. Solid flavors of orange sorbet are advertised on the label, and they definitely show up at the swallow. Really good stuff and something I’ll definitely go back to when back home in the Loo again. This might be their best brew available at the moment. Recommended.

Poured in a large tulip goblet glass with the brewery's logo.
personally i would call this more of a belgium golden than an apa, but that's not a category. it is about as hoppy as the earlier belgium ipa versions, which means it is not big hops, but balanced hops, the hops taste somewhat like they use a a ctz variant in it, but the background also is clearly UK hops. it is a fairly bitter beer, but not as bitter as many of the big bitter ipas.
the nose of this one seems to have a little butter in it, but is sweet with a bit of orange, maybe that is hop i don't know yet, but it is pleasant and not off-putting, but it does not match superbly the the dark bitterness of a sip of the beer. i don't get much other than the orange and butter in the nose though,
it has a malt backbone initially that is quickly overcome by the hops.
I think some people would find this beer challenging due to the bitterness, but I find it hugely enjoyable.
