Braustil "Hybrid"
on tap at the brewery on 17 Septmebr 2021
Notes: This beer is made with wine must.
Look: Somewhat hazy deep gold body. No head.
Smell: Smells like a runny soft cheese w/ a bit of apple-like fruit and some mild, grainy-sweet malt. Think Epoisses from France, or maybe just some Taleggio from Italy.
Taste: Golden malt with apple, pear, and a squirt of lemon. It's a bot mineralish or chalky. It's got a low level of bitterness but the light acidity balances it and leaves it dry in the lingering finish.
Feel: Medium to medium light in body. Slightly astringent. A moderate carbonation level lends a soft caress to the tongue before it warms to become smooth.
Overall: This is a very weird beer, and yet there's something very interesting and magical to it.
