An amber colored ale brewed with Galena, Golding hops and Maine grown 2 row barley which together present a crisp, clean ale. Cranberries from Sugar Hill Cranberry Company in Columbia Falls, Maine are infused into the beer after fermentation to add tartness to the back end of this seasonal beer.

The appearance was a soft ruddy burnt orange color with a light finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell at a decent pace. Moderate sticky lace. The aroma started with some biscuity malts, some floral hops and then a light cranberry. The flavor leaned towards the malty side with the biscuits coming forth fairly dry. Cranberry is there, somewhat sweet with a touch of tart. Mild malty sort of aftertaste. Cranberry tickle in the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, fruit beer or English pale ale? Not sure, but whatever it was, it worked, pretty sure Bigelow aimed for what they were going for.
