This one pours gem clear, golden straw (SRM 3-4). Fine carbonation drifts upwards in random flights. Three inches of pristine white head slowly turns rocky while leaving small clumps of lace on a Simpli pilsner glass. The head ultimately rests at a quarter inch.
The aroma is crisp, clean and simple. Water crackers and cereal grains come to mind.
This one is surprisingly bitter and astringent. The malt and grains are clearly secondary, and yet there is no hop flavor. That strong astringency builds in the finish which seems to never end. Warmth finally brings light sweetness too little and too late.
It has a thin body and the texture of sharp nylon. Fizzy carbonation amplifies the texture. Alcohol is as expected.
This is a decent Pilsner, although more superficial than I had hoped. I was able to drink it while eating tortilla chips and watching football on a cool, mid-Autumn afternoon.

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours clear, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is cereal and earthy hops..bitter, moderate body and carbonation. Solid but nothing I would reach for again. Refreshing.
