16oz can poured into a tulip glass shows a cloudy copper body and floats a 3/4" head of fluffy white bubbles that slink back to a cap smattering and edge-hugging ring, leaving erratic spotted lacing.
Generous aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, cracker malt, and pine waft from the glass beckoning entry to the palate.
Upon entry, the fruits explode, joined by the pine resin bitterness. Feel is full, on the softer side, with a drying finish.
Overall a great drink and perfect with burgers and bbq.

16oz can, no apparent freshness date. Thanks to my friend, Ken, for giving me a can to try. A frothy white head caps a slightly hazed copper colored ale. Fruit and citrus with some bready malt for aroma. Flavor notes are fruity with a decent malt backbone: apricot, orange, grapefruit, peach, pine, caramel, anf bread crust all come to mind. Medium body, resinius and bone dry on the moderately bitter finish. Definitely unique and good fir something a bit different, but nothing I'd get again.

Had on tap. This ipa featured big amarillo hops, and it really let the hops shine. Some orange, nuts, biscuit malt, and other citrus supporting, but most bitter and dank hops. Smell and taste are identical, but aromatics more intense than taste. Pretty light in the body and appearance, very drinkable. Not overly complex but tasty

This rating is for the pioneer hop version. Maybe I need to try some other pioneer hopped beers but this one was a miss.
