16.9oz undated bottle poured into a snifter shows a bubbly, cloudy "straw" yellow colored body floating a 1/2in head of quickly disippating white mixed bubbles and leaving a clean glass behind.
Pineapple and banana dominate the yeasty aroma enveloped by the Brett sour/funk.
Flavor is fruity with an almost citrus tartness. Light effervescence falls just short of tingling and the dry finish is without residue.
Overall a nice light easy drinking ale.

My second at the Oak Park 7th Generation Beer Fest.
Part of Savage Oak wild sour series using foeders for a second aging in gin barrels.
Straw is interesting. But its bottom-line: it is a brewed fruit punch with minimal sweet and laced with gin.
But interesting, and not just because a lot of effort and love was put into it.
Looks are drab. Smells are the fruit bowl with juniper. Tastes are more of the same. Feel and finish hampered by the gin.
I Had a Cuke Watermelon from these guys at last year's 7th Generation, but neglected to review the brewer and am glad to do so now. Then, they focus on the imperial side and, now, have added barrel aging. Inventive and committed to the cause. They are bringing culture and variety to a predominantly industrial suburb. Power to them.

500 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Had 8/14/18. This a foeder aged version, not sure that the original version was.
Pours a hazy, bright yellow, with a one and a half inch foamy head and lots of foamy lacing. Good retention. Aromas of Brett, yeast, white grapes, pineapple, malt, some wine, light oak, a hint of vanilla, some black pepper when warm. A light tart aroma. The taste is pretty tart. Flavors of Brett, funk, wheat, malt, pineapple, some white grapes, spices, light oak and wine. A light hop bitterness throughout, a sweet note when warm. Smooth, a solid light to medium body, well carbonated.
The foeder ups the game on the original version. Great balance between the Brett, malt and yeast, and the hops add a nice counterpoint. Great flavor and aroma. This is a really solid effort.
