12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/7/24, had 4/30/25. Also had on tap at release.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a brief head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, oak, malt, raisin, char, light vanilla and chocolate as it warms. Has a spicy aroma. Flavors of bourbon, oak, malt, some raisin, some char, light vanilla and chocolate. Has a quite spicy taste, to go along with a light bitterness. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
Brilliant. No frills, just mostly delicious barrels and oak. The intense spiciness in the flavor from the barrels was a pleasant surprise, as was the amount of smokiness from the char. One of the best Quiet Giant variants to date.
