L: dark brown to pitch black, 1" lacy tan cap, fair retention
S: Alcohol, bourbon aroma laced with coffee, chocolate, vanilla and dried fruit.
T: dried fruit leads supported by alcohol, bourbon, and bittersweet chocolate.
F; full body with mild carbonation.
O; well developed flavors and smooth alcohol make this a pleasure to drink.

Just as nice looking as the rye version. Pitch black with a dense, sticky bit of brown head.
The nose shows a ton of chocolate and rich dark fruits, plus a considerable amount of bourbon. I'm surprised by the level of heat, but it doesn't necessarily detract from everything else.
Nice combination of dark chocolate and mocha and vinous sweetness. The finish here is a little thin but, in general, this has the same great milky consistency that made the rye version so good.
I think this is inferior to the Templeton treatment, but I think both are very much worth sampling. Great stuff.
