This beer arrives a deep brown color with no head due to the tremendous pour. The aroma is of caramel, and toffee. If is rather faint, but pleasant. The taste has more caramel and toffee than the aroma, and has a nice nuttiness that make things pop. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. I prefer less carbonation in an English Brown Ale, but the feel of this beer isn't offensive. Overall, it is nice to see a local brown ale that hasn't been destroyed by hops. This isn't a beer tk write home about, but is sure is pleasing to quaff.
