750ML bottle with purple wax & the typical LTD ’Wild Things’ style artwork printed on the bottle. Perhaps they should have styled themselves LSD. Split with my wife.
Pours black. Bit of sweet malt coming off the surface, but pretty tame.
Night Falls - George Dickel Barrel Aged tastes odd. Three sips in & I can’t tell why. Malt sweetness, strong roast, with the barrel only an echo back behind my molars. Thin, oaky, nightlock berries. Gets up in your sinuses. Easy to sip, belying the ABV.
After their REM barleywine, I was expecting big things from this 2nd Anniversary series & have been consistently disappointed, especially at the price point. Pretty good beer.

On tap at 2nd anniversary party.
Tan head. Very thick creamy head. Black in color.
This one is much different than the eagle rare and knob creek barrels.
Less barrel flavors. More of a base imperial imperial stout with some slight additions. Chocolate and some roast.
Not super impressed with this one compared to the others.
