Blue-waxed 750ML bottle picked up at the 2nd anniversary party after sampling an excellent different variant & deciding I have more money than sense. Split with my wife.
Weird bottle art that appears to be channeling Where the Wild Things Are, & the wax is efficiently thin. Cap comes off making less noise than an owl blinking. Black; head consists of a few random bubbles. After several long inhales I get little but roast & mild sweetness off the surface: tame.
Night Falls - 9 Year Heaven Hill Barrels is flatter than a pool table. The mouthfeel is heavy, heavier, & weights like drinking small river rocks. Zero carbonation; distractingly bad. It negatively impacts the flavors, too. Roast is predominant, charred oak, minimal bourbon presence, slight chocolate sweetness. All dulled, like a knife slapped against granite for a couple years. Half a bomber is plenty.
Good brewery + good Eagle Rare on tap + big price = hefty disappointment. Doesn’t even scrape by as mediocre.

Tan head. Dark brown black color.
Light in barrel flavors. Has a peat and char flavor. Roasted. Chocolate and caramel.
Not very good compared to the other variants.
