I love big Russian Imperial Stouts. That's not this. World Traveler is a lighter stout that is dark brown. I prefer a careful pour, and no head at all. Fail. Despite my best intentions, I poured a nice firm head full inch thick head that slowly settled.
The dark chocolate color is appealing, and the medium coffee, mild cocoa, and slightly bitter odor fill the nose. The first sip lets me know that this is a tasty but not big beer. A peek at the bottle reveals this is a 6% ABV. I prefer 10%. The mouth-feel is warming. I found it tasty with a medium coffee finish.
I've had several of the LTD Brewing beers. This is my favorite.

A lighter stout that is dark brown in color with a nice firm head that slowly settles. Some lacing is left down the glass. Faint aroma of coffee. I certainly expected more. Other notes of chocolate, smoke, and toffee. The coffee comes out more in the flavor. It is lightly roasted with fruit and chocolate notes. A little bit of smoke creeps in but is very subtle. I also pick up some vanilla and bread crust. Light body but this is not a big beer. Good carbonation but feels a bit thin. I was expecting a coffee bomb and this just fails in the department. What coffee flavor is there is interesting and complex.
