This beer pours a hazy amber-orange color. The head is small, and recedes quickly. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is very balanced for an IPA. There are some grapefruit, tangerine, and mango hop characteristics, but their is enough caramel malt with them that they are not quite prominent. It is still a nice aroma though. The taste is again quite remarkably balanced with the same attributes as the aroma. Bitterness is minimal. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, this comes completely across to me as an APA instead of the IPA the label calls it. Judged as an pale ale it's a good beer. As an IPA it is highly lacking in bitterness, and not to style. Regardless of what it's called it is nice beer, and I can drink it.
