Big 750ML bottle with thin red wax that starts crumbling the moment I lay eyes on it; there’s a line between three inches of wax & that you have to vacuum up. Le sigh. Split with my wife.
Black with a lighter, fluffy head that looks odd on a bigger stout. Strangely lacking in scent. Just a touch of rye & wood.
Night Terror – Rye Whiskey Double Chocolate embodies its name like Spongebob Squarepants. The rye & chocolate hold hands backwards – like, it’s odd. The chocolate is strong & feels like it’s been cooked on a slab of oak; woody, sharp cocoa. The rye is soft in the background but still carries a significant percentage of the ABV. Touch of lactose. An old-fashioned stout that doesn’t overwhelm with a rotund body. Half the bomber will suit just fine.
An interesting beer at a high price point (that the guy at Shorewood Liquors endorsed enthusiastically) for a little brewery. Ultimately? Pretty good beer & a pretty odd beer.

Bottle. Tan head, dark brown color.
Chocolate and then more chocolate. Milk chocolate. Rye whiskey, oak, spice, vanilla. Raisins and molasses. Dark fruits. A bit roasted and dry.
It’s okay. Nothing crazy, but not bad.
