Appearance - The Gose was a cloudy golden yellow color with a modest white head.
Smell - The beer smells like a wheat beer for the most part, but you are really able to get the salt and sour in the aroma. Wow.
Taste - On the initial taste, I detect lemon before the saltiness comes in. It is truly amazing as it is salt in liquid form, but it will not give you sodium overload. Toward the back, the sour ntes become more apparent. In a sentence, this is liquid salted wheat with a sour aftertaste. Delicious!
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel runs fairly thin as the style should. It leaves a nice sour coating on the tongue.
Overall - When I left the pub, I made sure I told the brewers how good this gose is. If this was bottled or canned, I might never have to trade for Westbrook again.
