Our non adjunct, Barrel Aged Stout collab with @voodoobrewery. This beer sat in Four Roses barrels for over 20 months before being dumped!! What was filled at 53 gallon ended up yielding us 40 gallons

500ml bottle (multiply) poured into a 4oz 3 Sons Craft Master glass. Jet black body with a quarter inch of light tan head. Lacing is super compact bubbles that quickly recede into the ring of foam around the glass. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and Bourbon barrel. Tongue follows in the reverse order with tobacco and leather mixed in. Big time Bourbon barrels on the back end. Mouthfeel is smooth, coating, and boozy. Finishes rather alcohol dry. Overall this is a “Masterpiece”. If 3 Sons in collab w/ VooDoo ever brewed a coffee/vanilla/coconut variant of this, they could sell tickets for a “festival” release. The “base beer” is amazing either way.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head and not much lacing.

This smells like caramel, dark fruit, milk chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, spicy oak, and char.

This is really nice, but not quite as good as Black Magick on its own. There’s a nice creamy sweetness to this, with lots of barrel - caramel, vanilla, low proof bourbon, oak, char, etc. The base beer is very milk chocolate forward.

This is medium bodied, creamy, and with no real booziness to it. It’s pretty drinkable.

Although Voodoo’s Black Magick on its own tends a bit more towards my personal tastes with more complex and bitter barrel character, this is still quite nice, showing that wonderful dessert-like can be coaxed out of beer with extra flavorings added.
