10 ounce tap pour at Stillwater Grill in Ft. Myers, FL.
Delivered cold in a lager glass, hazed out near-orange, small cream-color cap.
Smells of vanilla. Tastes of vanilla with hop juice added. I get papaya and maybe pineapple as well. Very ‘chick-y’.,. but well crafted.
A tad thick, medium carbonation, seems lactose laden and flavored, but the Brewer insists it’s ‘vegan friendly’.
Overall, a milkshake IPA (I’d call it a flavored malt beverage, really.,) for vanilla lovers. Only.,.

This is a quite off the wall, vanilla lactose infused hazy NEIPA. The nose is over the top, not expecting it to be from an IPA. The look, smell (if you love vanilla) are solid. It has a nice smooth mouthfeel, but a ton of vanilla slaps ya in the head with every sip. It isn't bad but I won't spend money on it again.

The notes I write here are from a blind review. I had no idea what this was when i wrote them.

Hazy and murky golden color. There's an insane amount of carbonation, and it took several attempts to completely pour this into the glass. The head is white, and good retention, and nice lacing.

I thought this was a NEIPA based on how it looks, however I'm getting vanilla on the nose. WTF? There's lactose in here as well. There's some citrus from hops, so I'm now guessing milkshake IPA.

Taste - Well, now I have no idea what's going on here. I'm tasting cinnamon in here? I get a ton of lactose. I am getting a ton of vanilla. I'm getting like a peppermint schnapps flavor in here. I am totally lost here. 3.75?

Feel: It seems full bodied. There's a slight burn. 3.75?

Overall: I'm lost here. I have no clue what I'm drinking here. This is a totally bizarre beer, and I have no clue how to rate it. 3.75?

This NE Style Milkshke IPA hit the spot with a subdued bitterness coming from the citra and mosaic hops and a strong presence of vanilla doing a good job (not great) of blending in the sweetness of the vanilla with the citrus hop bitterness. The vanilla was a little bit too much and slightly artificial tasting but I never found it cloying. Very high drinkability as this beer went down very quickly without realizing it. Overall, probably my favorite IPA from 3Sons to date.
