Ordered from Tavour. Chilled then poured into a hurricane glass.
Look: Deep opaque ruby red, light pink half finger head that quickly disappeared and left a small ring of foam.
Smell: Blackberry and passionfruit mixed with earthy truffles, followed by sweet marshmallow.
Taste: Salty truffle up front and in the nose, immediately followed by blackberry and passionfruit sour, then as those three flavors slowly fade you get a touch of marshmallow.
Feel: Medium to full, lightly syrupy, sour, light tickle of carbonation.
Overall this is not a bad beer. The truffle is a little weird and overpowering unless you really like truffles. Leave that out and this would have been a killer fruit sour with marshmallow. As it is, the truffle is a bit over the top for a beer.
Cheers!
