Dark, opaque brown body; moderately sized head, light khaki in color. Roasted grain, a touch of coffee; bitter chocolate smell. Rich flavors abound; cocoa and milk chocolate; mild bitterness; mild spiciness. Heavy body; smooth and oily in texture; big residual sugar presence; sweet mouthfeel throughout.
This type of brown ale reminds me more of a heavy porter and stout with tons of sweet adjuncts. But, the brewery calls it a brown ale. Whatever. The damn thing is tasty...

Very dark opaque brown with a tan head. Big pecan and caramel in the nose. Somehow the taste features even bigger pecan, sweet caramel is right behind, with a dusting of dark cocoa and chewy brown malts round out. Feel is frothy and thick for style, yet smooth and sweeter, but overall nutty, especially as it warms. If you want that caramel pecan fix this beer is for you. Good dessert brown

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan colored head that left a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of pecans are present in the nose
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of pecans. There are some hints of cocoa nibs and burnt caramel with some associated sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This might be the nuttiest brown ale that I've ever had. It's quite aromatic and tasty.
