Copenhagen 31/5 2022. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. What looks like a map from Treasure Island - but is of the Baltic Sea on the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin patches foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark roasted malts mingling with stronger earthy scents. Caramel and toffee. Leather and tobacco. Humid soil.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with rather strong sweetness followed by moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with touch of candy. Lingering. Finish is caramel with touch of autumn.
Even though they seems have a map of the Baltic Sea I did not find much resemblance with a Baltic Porter in this can. A decent Porter but I miss the heavy booziness.
