Pours an effervescent & slightly chill hazed mahogany with s thumb of tan head. Pretty good lacing & head retention
S: Brown bread, anise, molasses
T: Brown bread, molasses, a little toastyness & roastyness up front. Some hints of dark fruit mix in with dryness & roasted grains as this beer warms up, slight smokeyness too, along with a touch of pine. Finishes with some roasty coffee notes & dryness, plus leafy hops
Medium body, dialed back carbonation
A solid stab at the style that takes a few liberties flavor-wise, Drinks pretty easy

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, shirt lived beige foamy head, fades to patches. Light roasty malts in the aroma, notes of chocolate. Taste is roasty and sweet, chocolate, faint coffee. Not sold on this as a Schwarzbier, more like Czech dark Lager. Collaboration brewery is Czech. Any way it's smooth and tasty.
