poured from a 500mL bottle into a levante snifter. pours inky black with the faintest dark brown foam head that fades away revealing some coconut floaties atop the oil-black liquid. huge chocolate and coconut on the nose. faint coffee on the nose but even that is coming off as very chocolaty and a bit nutty. taste follows. chocolate and coconut up front. some coffee, bourbon and oak in the background. super thick mouthfeel. this was incredible. not a lot of barrel or oak but that’s alright. coconut showcase with light coffee and a super thick, chocolate-forward base stout.
