Opaque very dark brown body, fat finger of light brown head. Earthy hops top a warm toasty and caramel toned nose. Taste confirms the toasty brown ale complexion with earthy and toasted caramel tones, earthy hop bite with a touch of clove on the finish. Feel is heavier for style but not too thick, dries out only slightly.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a snifter.
Dark brown beer appears clear at the edges of the glass. Aromas are very restrained, but I get some low roasted grains. The flavors have strong roasted grains that combine with strong herbal and woody hops. The two together come across as acrid to me. Thin to medium body and moderate carbonation. Medium hops bitterness and low alcohol presence.
This is a solid American brown ale.

Very superb offering of their Brown ale. Pours dark like a cola with an off-white/slightly tan head. Nice lacing leftover. Nose is very malt forward as it should be as is the taste. Love the bitter bite that is left over on the back of the throat.
