A 500ml bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date, although the barrels were emptied on 12th December 2023. Poured into a snifter glass.

Appearance: It poured a smooth, thick, oily, black colour with pretty much no head and no lacing.

Aroma: Roasted malts, sweet, boozy, bourbon, chocolate, molasses, vanilla, oak, with notes of dark fruit.

Taste: Sweet, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, oak, light roast, with a touch of dark fruit.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, with soft carbonation.

Overall: A very enjoyable sipper with great flavours that drinks just really smooth.

 

poured from a 500mL bottle into a BBT22 snifter. pours thick and oily black with almost no head save for a thin dark brown collar around the rim of the glass. bourbon, oak, chocolate and dark fruits on the nose. taste is more chocolate forward with slight vanilla, light dark fruits and smooth bourbon. super tasty. crazy thick mouthfeel. really enjoyed this. love the no additives barrel-aged stouts. kind of toes the line of good years of bourbon county with lesser years of assassin but honestly holds its own. the mouthfeel alone is incredible and it’s really silky smooth for 15%.
