5th Anniversary vintage, cellared a year. Pitch black motor oil pour with a dark brown collar. Bourbon bomb nose, just all the molasses, oak, dark fruit, toffee, and rye powerfully. Taste follows suit, but a bit deeper in the actually barrel with toasty and earthy undertones, get a kiss of vanilla to the dark chocolate mildly roasted malt base. Thick and heavy without verging into syrup, feels more roasty than it tastes, and barrel textures still star with booze and tannins standing out, dries out through the sip. I get the impression aging helped because this drank great for such a high abv beer
