Opaque dark brown body, collar is short lived. Smells of strong yet balanced bourbon barrels with barley, molasses, anise, raisin, prune, maple and pronounced leather on the finish. Let this one warm up a lot, because at first sip it came across sweet and sneaky boozy, but once allowed to warm the barley, earth, tobacco, and anise balanced the bevy of dark fruits and bourbon barrel candied notes. Smell more potent and deep though. Feel is smooth and warming, barrels shine here with the malt more than barley, hint of oxidation kiss on the finish

Black strap molasses, toffee bits, raisin bread malty, and a prominent bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows with a thicc and viscous, molasses and dark fruits, vanilla-bourbon barrel finish. It is interesting that the dark fruit notes, overpowered the caramel/toffee vibes here. This accompanied by the viscous mouthfeel gave it an almost raisin/red wine grape combo sweet port wine vibe. Really good!
