a light blonde beer with lavender in it, not overdone, which is really hard to do with this ingredient, especially in such a minimal base beer, but they got the proportionality down on this one, lavender accents to a clean and simple brew, light and refreshing and drinkable, and it even warms up pretty well. the lavender is natural, and there is just a little malt sweetness in the base to soften and carry it. its also nice to have there be almost no hops to this, often times with lavender and hops together its botanical overload, but not here. good carbonation also helps keep it light. all of the chain reaction beers have seemingly had higher and brighter carbonation the last few times i have been in, which really makes a beer like this pretty darn drinkable. there is a crispness to the finish, and even though it feels way more springtime than autumnal, its a nice beer for anytime. the ladies in our group liked it a lot, but its not necessarily feminine in any negative sense. fun stuff, these guys do a nice job with tough ingredients like this.
