Very strong beer. Syrupy feel, reminds of a red wine

Chaos, Night, and Darkness is a blend of spontaneous and wild ales aged 2 years in barrels, refermented with merlot and old-vine zinfandel grape must, blackberries, and blueberries. It pours with an effervescent fizz, leaving little trace of carbonation behind on top of its moderately translucent purple liquid and legs appropriate for its 10+% ABV. On a side note, how can this possibly be over 10% ABV? Wow.
Modestly tart foreshadowing on the nose, with the blueberry and grape must being the most noticeable fruit elements, complementing a generally tart acidity in the air. Strong oak and wine notes. The blackberries are missing, but the blueberry comes through strongly on the palate, paired with a light sourness that is more moderated with each passing sip. Extremely well balanced, with oak, fruit, and wild ale notes each in turn. On some initial sips, I also got a slight graininess reminiscent of actual blueberries, which is the only fault I'll note with the mouthfeel. A long, moderately sweet finish brings the whole experience to a pleasant close.
