Pours one shade shy of black with a tight band around the shoulders. Nose expresses a roast quality as well as notes of meat seasoning and or teriyaki (almost akin to a rauchbier). Taste is not on par at all with the nose and is quite pleasant - cocoa, peanuts, salt and hints of the meat seasoning present in the nose. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an even carbonation. Overall, a solid imperial stout. All the flavors coalesce nightly. That said, it tastes much better than it smells.
