Appearance - The beer poured an inky black color with a dark tan head crowning glass.
Smell - in the nose, the spice was evident. There was also chocolate sweetness in the background.
Taste - In this profile, cinnamon and habanero peppers worked as well is they ever have. Neither shines above the other, but you get a well balanced punch of heat. Just so you don’t see her your esophagus, sweet chocolate and dark fruit lay in the background. The heat does burn the back of the throat a bit but it was not overwhelming.
Mouthfeel - The feel was almost syrupy. This might be good on pancakes.
Overall - In terms of spiced beers, this is right up there with Mexican Cake.
