This is tied with the best IPA I've ever had, absolutely underated and absolutely one of the best IPAs of all time. Hop profile is perfectly balanced. Alcohol is just right. I am drinking this out of a can, and I have had several iterations of these cans with several different experiences and it always holds up. Impressively formulated beer!

If you like Dank, this is your beer. IPA's come in many forms, Dankalicious is unique, it has a hard bite, particularly from a can or bottle. Tapped at the brewery has a smoother feel, more enjoyable. This is a Hearty beer ..

Very pleasant IPA from a local brewery that I’ve always been meaning to try. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with some nice fluffy white head and lots of spotty lingering lacing. Smells of some fresh fruity and piney hops, also some malt and caramel. Tastes mainly of grapefruit, mango, tangerine and pineapple hops, along with some piney hops, malt, vanilla, caramel and biscuit. Smooth, thin, mild mouthfeel and good carbonation.

I am not a fan of dank and bitter hops. That said, I should end the review. But let me defend the rating.
Dankalicious Looks slightly better than average. It Smells the same. Tastes are a copy-cat of overly bitter beers trying to please the old market that is diminishing itself and moving to other tastes. I don't like how this sits in my mouth.

Only started in 2014, I shouldn't be critical; but their website and beers seem like another group jumping into the market so they can figure out two things: how to get two levels above home brewing; and, that it is not easy to get good at this craft. For being in what is the epi-center for Michigan brewing (however decentralized it may be), Elk had better figure out these two things quicker if it wants to survive.

Very one dimensional hop forward IPA, very bitter, lack of malt, piney, dry finish. If you like em bitter, get this one.

Reading other reviews, maybe I got a bad six pack. Bottle into a pint glass. It pours a nice cloudy almost orange. A lot of particles floating around. Almost as much as some orange juices. Orange is the strongest citrus flavor and smell. Not a bad IPA but nothing stands out to make me seek it out.

Pour is slightly hazy, deeper gold. Foamy, medium, thick white head that Fades slowly with good lacing.

Smell Citrus, Pine, earthy and pale malt with a slight skunkyness.

Taste citrus peel, slight fruitiness and almost a lager pilsner taste. Finish is quite bitter with a pine linger that lasts a long time. Medium body and smooth medium carbonation.

Purchased a single bottle at MegaBev in Battle Creek. Solid IPA, worthy alongside a Two Hearted or Founder's Centennial. Next time I'm in Michigan, I will look for it again.

I tries this beer at Pete's Place in Taylor, MI. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a nice ring lace. The scent had bitter citrus. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.
