Had this on 2014-05-25 in York, PA at the brew pub (from tasting notes)
A - Opaque dark brown with a short tan head and mild lacing.
S - Medium-dark roasted grain, whiffs of chicory and chocolate. Nice.
T - Chocolate (more than in the smell), light char, toasted brown bread, still a touch of chicory, nice amount of sweetness. Nicely balanced finish includes some roasted and hop bitterness that doesn't linger and leaves you ready for another sip.
M - Medium body and light carbonation. Substantial. Not watery. It was noted while serving that this first production batch is intended to have a bit more carbonation, which will be adjusted next time around. Even so, I like the feel.
O - I sampled most of the brews today. They were all good but this is the one that came home with me in their very nice 18.8 double-insulated stainless steel growler by FiftyFifty.
