Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip
L: Clear golden peach pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Falls fast with a nice ring of lacing.
S: Stone fruits... apricot and peach mixed with funk... tart and lemony.
T/F: This one's different. Strong apricot/fruit juice presence... very mild tartness. Not much funk at all... sweeter than expected. Grains, stone fruits, and lemongrass. Plum and cherry. Light and effervescent. Finish is more fruit juice with minimal tartness.
O: Not what I was expecting but not bad. Strong apricot presence as advertised. A little sweet... could have used a bit more tartness and funk to balance it out but that does increase the drinkability. A 'wild ale' so to speak for people who don't particularly like wild ales, or perhaps 'baby's first sour'.

Poured into a chalice: color is fairly transparent gold, head presented 1.5 inches thick after a pseudo agro pour, color is white to off white with small bubbles; head dissipates to a thin top.
Smell is grainy, light belgian off notes, some apricot fruit essence, somewhat neutral in the category.
Taste is lightly sweet, neutral grains, some apricot, not much funk or sourness, but pleasant tasting and nothing off.
Mouthfeel is a bit dry on the tongue, which for the level of sourness seems a little disappointing.
Overall a decent tasting fruity beer, but not much sour funkiness.

L: Clear gold with a tight white head. Moderate retention, good lacing.
S: Banana, biscuit malt, overripe apricot, hay, clove.
T: A nice pop of overripe apricot upfront, followed quickly by hay and cracker. Faint plum near the finish, followed by a semi-dry finish with clove.
F: Medium-light, well-carbonated. Effervescent.
O: An okay-ish Belgian style ale with some apricot flavor. Fun fact, though: This was brewed by my manager's husband, who lives just up the road from me!

Pours a dirty blonde color with a white frothy head and some lace.
The aroma has a slight fruitiness and some floral notes.
In the taste, light cherry, a wee bit of earthy hop, and malt sweetness. Lacking the tartness or super floral notes of most wild ales, the taste is pretty light.
Well carbonated, medium to full bodied ale.
Overall, it's a bit light for the style but not too bad. A stronger yeast culture could have improved it.

Solid non-fruity sour. It's on the more sour side and not bland

Pours a very effervescent bronze with a thumb of pearl colored head. Minimal head retention & lacing
S: Peach & apricot
T: Follows the nose, some dryness & honey sweetness, along a little yeasty pepperyness up front. Faint tartness mixes with dryness & apricot & a little white grape as this warms. Finishes slightly warming with plenty of apricot & a little dryness
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, a little sticky
Not a ton of wildness to this, but very drinkable/approachable

Clear, and a deep golden. Half a finger of off white head that settles quickly to a ring and leaves a spotty lacing down the glass. In the aroma: red apple skin, very tart fruit, and I'd say marmalade, but, apricot or pear-like. In the flavor, again apple skin, tart, and sour mash pancakes-doughy. And the jam you get in a restaurant for your toast; sweet, but, tart. Same goes for the flavor, but more intensified. Feel: good, strong carbonation, quite dry, medium mouth feel. I don't think apricot jumps out, but, this brew is nice and dry, crisp, and has a good overall flavor. I think this is the best of the three offerings, this year.

Pours a nice clear golden color with a small white head. The smell is rather unappealing. The flavor is very sour with little to no apricot taste. It is smooth but overall not a great beer.

P- First beer sampled from The "Long Shot" mixed 6 pack.Poured from a 12 oz bottle, into a large Funky Buddha snifter.Best by September 2017.
L- Soapy white colored head that stands a half finger tall, with moderate retention and minimal lacing.Golden / straw colored body with very good clarity.
S- On the nose I get sweet stone fruit notes, with a slightly malt, wheat, and bread background.
T- The palate starts of with a slight floral hop flavor mixed with wheat and malt, leading to stone fruits and apricots on the back end.The finish is very tart and sweet, with a hint of sourness. The tartness / sourness is not offensive at all,in fact very pleasant. There is quite a bit of wheat on the back end as well, once the tartness starts to fade.
F- The mouth feel is thin, and a bit watery, but not too bad.Moderate amount of oxidation on the tongue, with a slightly dry and chalky finish.
O- This is my first time trying a "Wild Ale" and I was somewhat impressed. From the descriptions of wild ales I didn't think I would like it,especially seeing as it is a SA brew.I would drink this again, and look forward to trying Wild Ales from other breweries in the future. Not sure I would recommend though,as this seems like a niche beer.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly dissipates. Big apricot and light lemon on the nose. Sweet bready malt with plenty of apricot flavor and just a touch of lemony tartness especially in the finish. Not horribly sour but quite tasty.
