his crisp German pilsner showcases new and heritage hops grown in the original hop gardens of Bavaria. The classic Noble hops offer a floral spiciness, while the new varieties add a fruity, citrusy character. Together, they create an elegant yet laid-back golden pilsner.

Poured into a lager glass.
The appearance was a soft copper golden color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that swiftly dissipated but left some light stringy sliding lace.
The aroma had a nice semi-sweet fruity hop tone over top of some grainy sweetness. Mellow bready malts colliding into the hops in a fair sort of way.
The flavor was moderately sweet with the breadiness coming in with the sweet fruity hops. Mild hoppy piney-ness coming in subtly and then combining with the fruitiness and the malts in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt on par. ABV felt pretty good. Some piney to delicate fruitiness leads in the finish.
Overall, as a Czech pilsener, I'd say this one works. I'd have again.

Reviewing this beer from memory. My thirty fourth brew reviewed from these guys. Like most beers from Boston Beer Company, also known as Sam Adams, this is just ok.

6/3/18...semi-clear gold, with thick white foam clinging to and climbing on top. Bright citrus open nose. Slightly grassy. Soft malt open. Subtle bitter. Slight grit embedded in the sweetness. Bit of pepper.

Looks the part at a transparent golden hue. Good head retention. There's honey biscuit sweetness, with only a little bit of hop bitterness. For me, as a Bohemian/Czech Pilsner, this is where it's lacking. The hop character is very muted. It's still a refreshing lager.

Gold colored beer with a huge fluffy head.. taste is biscuit, sweetness and hops.....I am not a fan of hops and this was a little more hops than I cared for.
